Pink aventurine is a variety of quartz with a shimmering effect (aventurescence) caused by tiny fuchsite or lepidolite mica inclusions that give it a soft, rosy sparkle. It combines the gentle loving energy of pink stones with the luck and opportunity of aventurine. Sometimes called the 'stone of the heart warrior' — someone who faces life's challenges with gentleness and love rather than force.

- Everyday uses
- Used in jewellery, particularly beads, cabochons, and carved pendants. Decorative objects: spheres, hearts, worry stones, and figurines. Used in Feng Shui for the relationship corner of a home alongside rose quartz. Lapidary use: popular among jewellery makers for its gentle shimmer and soft colour.
- Spiritual meaning
- Pink aventurine is a stone of gentle heart healing. It is excellent for those who have suffered heartbreak, emotional trauma, or depression, as it wraps the emotional body in a soft, warm energy that encourages healing without forcing it. It is particularly beautiful for sensitive souls who feel overwhelmed by life's harshness.
- Formation
- Pink aventurine forms in metamorphic rocks through the incorporation of platy pink mica minerals (usually lepidolite or pink fuchsite) during the recrystallisation of quartz-rich rocks. The pink colour and shimmer come from these mica inclusions within the quartz matrix.
- Where it is found
- Pink aventurine is found in India, Brazil, Russia, Chile, Austria, and Tanzania. India remains one of the primary sources of aventurine of all colours, with the Karnataka region being a major centre of aventurine mining and processing.
